Providence – (December 14, 2005) – The accounting firm of Sansiveri, Kimball & McNamee, L.L.P. (SKM), is pleased to announce the recent promotions of three of its professional staff: Alyson C. Adkins, Leif Anderson, and Sue Sears.

Alyson C. Adkins, CPA, was promoted to supervisor in the auditing and accounting practice group, Alyson has over six years of accounting experience, providing audit, consulting and tax services to a wide variety of the firm’s clients in the not-for-profit, government and private industries, including those in the construction and hospitality sectors. Alyson supervises audit and review engagements for SKM’s Newport office. She has undertaken the training to meet the necessary requirements to conduct government audits.

She is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants. As a graduate of the University of Rhode Island in 1998, Alyson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Alyson is also active in her home town in various church, Little League and Boy Scouts volunteer efforts. She is a resident of Portsmouth.

Leif N. Anderson, CPA, was promoted to supervisor in the auditing and accounting practice group. Leif has over five years of accounting experience, providing audit and consulting services to a wide variety of the firm’s clients, such as manufacturing, distribution, and hospitality.

In addition to representing the traditional industries, he also services a number of the firm’s healthcare and not-for-profit clients, such as family counseling service providers, educational institutions, and subsidized housing groups.

Leif is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As a graduate of the University of Rhode Island in 1999, Leif holds both a Master of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics. He received the Gold Medal Award for Rhode Island’s top CPA exam score in May of 2000. Leif is a resident of Warwick.

Sue Sears, CPA, was promoted to supervisor in the firm’s tax services group. Sue has over 15 years of accounting experience, and provides audit, tax and consulting services to a wide variety of clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate, and other industries. She assists firm clients with year-end tax planning and projections, and tax return preparation and/or reviews for corporations and partnerships. Sue joined SKM in 2004 after 14 years in the accounting profession in California.

Sue is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2004 and her Bachelor Science degree in Business Administration, Accountancy Option, from California State University in Fresno in 1989. Sue is a resident of Portsmouth.
