Providence -- (November 2, 2006) -- The accounting firm of Sansiveri, Kimball & McNamee
L.L.P., is pleased to announce the recent promotions of six of its professional staff:
Terry Malaghan, K. Elise vonHousen, Amy Guldhauge, Daniel Connor, Leah Albertini,
and Katie Hanson.
Terry Malaghan has been named Senior Manager. Terry joined SKM in 1986 and manages
the firm's office in Westerly, supervising all client work, office communications
and staffing. He works with clients on their corporate and individual income tax
returns, and provides tax planning for clients in a variety of industries. His specialties
include individual income tax and estate planning and preparation, small business
consulting, and extensive work with "S" corporations,
LLC's, and other "pass-through" tax entities.
In addition to being licensed to practice in Rhode Island, Terry is also licensed in Connecticut
and Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified
Public Accountants. Terry is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology where he earned a
bachelor of science degree in accounting.
Active in the community, Terry recently joined the Westerly chapter of the Lion's Club International,
a group that serves to support local causes in the community. He is an incorporator
of Westerly Hospital's parent company. Terry assists the Westerly School Department
as assistant soccer coach for the middle school girls' team. He is involved with
the high school chapter of the National Academy of Finance, which helps students
interested in pursuing careers in accounting, banking, and financial planning. In addition, Terry
volunteers as a coach for both Westerly Youth Soccer and Westerly Youth Wrestling. He is also serves
on the finance committee for St. Michael's church.
Terry is a resident of Westerly, Rhode Island.
K. Elise vonHousen was promoted to the position of Manager. Since
joining the firm in 1999, Elise provides accounting and tax services to clients in a variety of
industries throughout Southern Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut. She works from Sansiveri,
Kimball & McNamee's Westerly office.
Committed to the accounting profession, Elise is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a bachelor
of science degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island where she was graduated in May,
1995 with highest distinction.
She is also active in her community, officiating both high school and collegiate cross-country
and track-and-field events. Elise also serves on the advisory board for the Westerly High School
Academy of Finance, which helps students interested in pursuing careers in accounting, banking, and
financial planning. Elise is a resident of Westerly, Rhode Island.
Amy Guldhauge has been named Supervisor. As a supervisor
in the accounting & auditing practice group, Amy has more than eight years of accounting experience. She
provides auditing, tax, and consulting services to the firm's clients, including several non-profits
in a number of industries such as manufacturing, banking, insurance, and education.
Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island
Society of Certified Public Accountants. As a graduate of Salve Regina University, Amy holds both
a master of science in accounting and a bachelor of science degree in management with a concentration
in finance. She is a resident of Providence, Rhode Island
Daniel Connor has been named Senior Accountant in the audit department.
Daniel has over three years of accounting experience. He provides auditing and consulting services
to a wide variety of the firm's clients in private industry, including manufacturing, employee
benefits, not-for-profits, and governmental entities. Daniel joined the firm's audit department
as a staff accountant in 2004 after graduating from Providence College. He holds a bachelor of science
degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Daniel has passed the uniform
CPA exam and is currently pursuing a masters degree in business administration from Providence College.
He is a resident of North Providence, Rhode Island.
Leah Albertini was promoted to Senior Assistant Accountant in
the firm's audit practice group. Leah provides audit and consulting services to a wide variety
of the firm's clients in private industry. She began her career at SKM as a staff accountant.
Leah received her bachelor of science degree in 2004 and a master of science degree in accounting
in 2005 from the University of Rhode Island. She has passed the uniform CPA exam. Leah is a resident
of Narragansett, Rhode Island.
Katie Hanson was promoted to Senior Assistant Accountant in the
firm's audit practice group. Katie provides audit and consulting services to a wide variety
of the firm's clients in private industry. She began her career at SKM as a staff accountant.
She received her bachelor of science degree, graduating magna cum laude, in 2004 and a master
of science degree in accounting in 2005 from the University of Rhode Island. She is a resident of
Warwick, Rhode Island.
