As an Assurance Department member, you will be responsible for working closely with other team members on a full range of assurance services including audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements for companies in a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a full range of professional accounting and auditing services including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations to companies in a variety of industries.
- Review and verification of bank balances, examinations of fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, accruals, etc.
- Preparation of a complete set of financial statements including drafting of footnotes and supplemental schedules.
- Working in a team environment, build relationships with peers, supervisors, and client personnel while handling and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Document and communicate any accounting and auditing matters that arise during engagements to the management team.
- Serve as a client point of contact in addition to Supervisors, Managers, and Partners.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ years’ public accounting audit, review, and compilation experience.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP and professional standards including U.S. GAAS and SARS.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA (or in progress) preferred.

As a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Team member, you will be responsible for providing controller and general ledger management services to small to medium sized clients within the construction, manufacturing, not-for profit, professional services, and retail industries.
This role provides a clear, structured track toward partnership, offering you the chance to take on increasing responsibility, contribute to strategic decisions, and ultimately play a key role in shaping the future of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in the production of accurate and timely financial statements and other financial records during both month-end and year-end close.
- Create insightful analytical reports allowing clients to better understand operating results.
- Perform budget to actual analyses for engagements and on behalf of clients that offer useful insight into business operations.
- Provide timely responses to client inquiries.
- General ledger management services include account reconciliations, posting transactions to the general ledger, processing approved invoice payments, applying cash receipts, and processing payroll utilizing the client’s third-party processor.
- Develop new client business while maintaining and expanding existing relationships with client personnel.
- Proactively work with CPAs to provide tax planning and preparation support for mutual clients of Sansiveri’s CAS division and other divisions.
- Drive the implementation of best practices to increase efficiencies.
- Manage/mentor engagement staff while supporting their continued growth and success and maintaining open lines of communication with all members of the CAS Team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing CAS related work or four to five years of public accounting and/or private industry accounting experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills used to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- CPA designation required.

Who Can Apply?
- Sophomores considering an Accounting Major (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Junior and Senior Year Accounting Majors (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
What are the details?
- Minimum of 20 hours per week
- In-person internship working with our team of mentors in our offices @ 50 Holden St., Providence, RI
- February 2025 and continuing through mid-April 2025 (Dates: Week of February 9th– April 15th)
- In-person training begins in January and runs for three consecutive Saturdays from 8:30am – 3:30pm (Dates: 1/25; 2/1; 2/8)
- No experience is necessary, as complete in-house training is provided!
- Schedules and hours are flexible – We will work with you to plan a weekly schedule around your course work. (Scheduled work hours will be M-F between 8am – 5pm;)
